About our Client:
Our client is a leading manufacturer of Mining Equipment, renowned for their commitment to excellence and innovation. As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of the company.
Reporting to : Managing Director & Group CFO
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Collaborate closely with the Managing Director and the management team to ensure the company meets its monthly and annual financial targets, focusing on enhancing PBIT and RONTA.
- Streamline functions within Finance, Procurement, and Inventory to optimize efficiency.
- Implement cost reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for operational enhancement.
- Provide professional development opportunities for the finance team and identify potential successors.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of 7-9 finance professionals, fostering their growth and development.
- Prepare and submit accurate monthly, semi-annual, and annual management and financial accounts to the head office within stringent deadlines.
- Deliver financial reports and insights to the Managing Director and management team, offering actionable recommendations.
- Conduct WIP analysis and standard cost accounting for manufactured inventory.
- Calculate provisions for debtors, inventory, and other areas as necessary.
- Analyze costs, pricing, sales results, and actual performance against business plans, generating insightful reports.
- Develop financial trends and projections to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvement.
- Oversee finance department operations, setting and achieving goals and objectives.
- Manage debtor and creditor relationships in line with business guidelines.
- Monitor the company's cash position and oversee budget preparation.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure financial compliance and transparency.
- Actively participate in Management Committee (Manco) activities.
Requirements
Qualifications / Experience:
- BCom Accountancy or equivalent qualification.
- Cost Accounting experience or a CIMA qualification (advantageous).
- 4 - 6 years of experience in Financial Management with a background in Manufacturing.
- Advanced user of Syspro or Sage Evolution or similar.
