External Sales Rep

About the position

Our client is a leading supplier of STEEL roofing, cladding and decking solutions for both commercial and residential properties.

An opportunity has arisen for an External Sales Representative with a proven track record and established STEEL INDUSTRY contacts to meet sales targets and maintain and grow the company's customer base and market share by promoting and selling its range of products.

Responsibilities will be to promote the sales and interests of the company, through:

• Identifying projects and opportunities, uncovering the needs of customers and new markets and positioning products to meet these needs.
• Quotations.
• Customer visits, maintaining on-going relationships with customers, customer and customer services liaison.
• Providing accurate material and market forecasting.

Ideal candidates will hold 10 years plus Sales/Technical Sales experience gained in the STEEL and/or ROOF SHEETING industry, with knowledge of reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings.

STEEL AND/OR ROOF SHEETING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS A PREREQUISITE, as well as the ability to work independently, under pressure and to travel extensively.

An attractive basic salary, excluding a generous commission will be negotiated with the successful candidate, dependent on qualifications and experience.
