Engineering Storeman

About the position

Our client, a leading manufacturer who specialises in mechanical, electrical, and automation design and manufacturing are looking for an Engineering Storeman to join their team.



Requirements:

• Grade 12
• At least 5 years of experience in a Store Management position in the Engineering field.
• Must have proven store management experience.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Word and Excel)
• Formal Stores qualification advantageous.
• Self- motivator with the ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
• Must be presentable with good communication skills.
• Driver's license.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all general store duties and staff.
• Receiving and dispatching of stock, control of damage and quality.
• Ordering and maintaining stock levels, negotiating competitive pricing with suppliers.
• Inventory and stock control via Excel.
• Control of contract orders and deliveries.
• Routine Stock Takes.
• Control Credit returns of goods and materials when required.
• Responsible for Housekeeping pf premises.
• Co-ordinate deliveries and collections.
• Control of dispatch and receipt of Company Tools and Equipment, as well as repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure routine testing and certification of equipment.
• Ensure compliance to all aspects of health and safety.
• Implement and develop ISO 9001 principles and ensure conformance to the ITD Quality Management System.
• Monthly management reporting.
• Overtime required on occasion.
