Engineer Networking

About the position

REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant IT Networking and Security Certifications, plus appropriate Diploma
• 5 years experience
• 2 - 5 years experience within a consulting environment
• CISO; CCNA essential

DUTIES:

• Looking for a multiskilled Engineer Networking who is responsible for the design, build, maintenance, and documentation of the network security infrastructure. This includes administration of Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Network Access Control (NAC), and Virtual Private Networks (VPN). They will work very closely with infrastructure operations teams to ensure that all necessary controls are in place to securely support the company's service offerings
• Management of the WAN Links
• Ensure that WAN links are measured against provider SLA
• Create and / or regularly update a WAN connectivity procedure and policy, covering the requirements to add a new site to the WAN
• Management of the company owned routers
• Ensure that appropriate security is implemented on the routers
• Ensure that router capacity is appropriate to business needs
• Management of the wired and wireless switches
• Conduct regular reviews of the Active Directory implemented
• Conduct regular reviews of Active Directory integration with other Microsoft domains
• Maintain and support WAN compression devices
• Configure, Install, Deploy WAN compression devices
• Manage firewall support licensing
• Ensure appropriate Intrusion Prevention Measures are implemented (IPS)
• Ensure appropriate Intrusion Detection Measures are implemented (IDS)
• Create and/ or regularly update an antivirus procedure and policy
• Provide remote access to approved users
