Electronic Technical Officer (JHB)

About the position

ENVIRONMENT:

A provider of cutting-edge Electronics Solutions in Joburg is seeking an Electronic Technical Officer to join its team. You will conduct Product Quality Assurance - Testing and inspection of equipment to ensure manufactured or repaired equipment meets the company standards while carrying out Electronic PCB repairs and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will need a BTech Diploma or higher tertiary qualification with suitable work experience including Electronic workshop, QA and/or Repairs experience.

DUTIES:

• Product Quality Assurance. Testing and inspection of equipment to ensure manufactured or repaired equipment meets the company standards.
• Electronic PCB repairs and troubleshooting. Studying and understanding schematics for the purpose of diagnosing a problem or fault.
• Audits (internal and external).
• Documentation Control.
• Scheduling of work and prioritization of one’s day.
• Store Control.
• Ad Hoc assistance to R&D.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications –

• BTech Diploma or higher.

Experience/Skills –

• Electronic workshop, QA and/or Repairs experience.
• Must be able to handle pressure.
• Attention to detail.
• Be able to meet deadlines.
• Leadership ability – must be able to provide training when and if requested.
