About the position

Our client, market leader in the logistics sector is looking to hire a Credit Executive  based in Johannesburg

Purpose of the role:

• Manage Sundry Trade debtors book and control credit risk  
• Drive the identification and execution of credit initiatives and build customer relationships
• Ensure debtors book is managed to maximise CGIC cover and reduced premiums

• Credit Control
• Customer Relationship Management
• Dispute Resolution
• Debt Recovery and Write-off
• Financial Management
• Month-end Reporting
• Customer Master Management
• Central Pricing and EDI Management
• Team Leadership  

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• Finance / Accounting Degree
• Minimum 10 years' Credit Control experience with at least 5 years in a management position
• An accounting background would be advantageous
• Valid code EB driver's license   

Knowledge:

• Accounting principles and practices
• Commercial and Contract Law  
• Good understanding of Tax, Credit and VAT acts
• An understanding of multiple key performance indicators, inter-relationship and bottom-line sensitivity

Skills:

• Ability to interface and demonstrate leadership
