Commercial Underwriter

About the position

Commercial Underwriter with minimum 5 years' short term insurance underwriting experience (new and existing business), required to join this leading Short Term Insurance Administrator and FSP based in Claremont, Cape Town.

Minimum requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' commercial underwriting experience required
• All Fit and Proper requirements in terms of the FAIS act required
• NQF level 4: Short term insurance essential
• RE5 essential
• Full working knowledge of CIMS/Cardinal advantageous
• DOFA confirmation as a commercial underwriter required
• Previous experience in Insurance Binder Processes required

Responsibilities:

• New Business
• Renewals
• Broker liaison and relationship building/management
• Diary management
• Adhere to SLA's
