About the position

ADMIN CLERK - CLINIC

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric Qualification
  • Post matric qualification in Office Management is considered an advantage
  • Basic Computer Literacy including Word & EXCEL
  • Fluent in English and Zulu

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Data Capturing: Capturing of all scripts, invoices, and results onto the computer system or patient files.
  • Assist with reception work including communication with patients, management of patient files, and queue management.
  • Filing and retrieval of patient records and other documents.
  • Assist with the preparation of medication prepacks for use in the dispensary.
  • Assist at Registrations Office including the checking of member benefits.
  • Assist at the Sick Pay Office including processing of sick pay and maternity claims.
  • Assist with Optometry benefit claims.
  • Assist in the compilation of monthly stats.
  • Assist with Patient Satisfaction surveys.
  • Organise Patient Education Events as directed by the Fund Manager.
  • Minute taking at staff meetings.
  • Generate reports and assist with any other duties as required by the Fund Manager.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong Organisational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting an advantage.
