About the position

Position: Chief Safety Officer
Location: Rustenburg

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to grow your career? Look no further! We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our client growing company as there new Chief Safety Officer.

You will be responsible for promoting the highest standards of safety and health within the mining company and monitor that such standards are maintained throughout the mining operations, by developing, implementing, and overseeing safety policies, programs and practices, to minimise risks, accidents and injuries within the mine.

Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma (NQF6) in Safety Management (mining or relevant industry).
  • Degree (NQF7) or equivalent Mining Qualification (advantageous).
  • Certifications in ISO 19001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 Auditing, COMSOC 1 and 2, Blasting Ticket, SAMTRAC/SHEMTRAC, Incident/Accident Investigation, Legal Liability, Train the Trainer.
  • 5-8 years' technical experience in SHE, Production, or Process within mining or similar industries.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy, First Aid/Firefighting, Occupational Hygiene, and Environmental Management.
  • Valid Driver's License (code 08).
  • Medically fit
