About the position
The Chief Operating Officer position requires leadership in both strategy and operations. You'll spearhead innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring operational excellence and top-notch software delivery. Working closely with the Group CEO, you'll drive key strategic goals, manage SaaS software development, and optimise service delivery. With three direct reports at the executive level, overseeing Professional Services, Software Solutions, and Project Implementation, you'll play a pivotal role in maximising measurable client satisfaction and long term sustainable growth. Key responsibilities will include: Operational Leadership: Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company goals. Oversee all operational activities, from customer support to resource allocation. Streamline processes for increased efficiency and profitability. Establish and monitor KPI's to drive continuous improvement. Software Delivery Management: Lead the software delivery team to ensure timely and high-quality SaaS solutions. Collaborate with product management to prioritise features and manage roadmaps. Implement best practices for development, deployment, and maintenance. Drive innovation to sustain competitiveness. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Develop and report on key metrics to foster continuous improvement. Cultivate collaboration across departments. Partner with sales and marketing to enhance client needs. Collaborate on strategic initiatives for growth and profitability. Implement new technology for optimized operations. Collaborate with HR on efficient people operations, including onboarding and talent development. The Candidate: This role will suit a seasoned operations professional with strong leadership experience and ability in software delivery and implementation environments, ideally with an understanding of the insurance industry.
