About the position

DUR002115 – CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER – LOCATION IS NEGOTIABLE

Purpose of the Job:
The successful candidate will represent the interests of the industry and producers, ensure the implementation of the company’s mission, vision, and strategy, and lead the organization towards achieving short-, medium-, and long-term goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Tertiary Education (MSc/MA in Business Administration and/or Agric. Economics or similar)

Technical Competencies & Experience:

  • Min of 10 years experience as a CEO or relevant senior role.
  • Budget development and implementation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Citrus market and industry.
  • Knowledge of international trade policies.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the top management team.
  • Work closely with the COO and the management team structure and succession planning.
  • Drive industry transformation initiatives.
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships and communication.
  • Ensure corporate governance and compliance.
  • Oversee market access and development.
  • Analyse problematic situations and provide solutions for survival and growth.

Behavioural Competencies:

  • Good communication skills – verbal & written.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
