About the position
Acting in support of production and research and development, the incumbent will assist to drive and monitor product formulations, quality control (QC), and safety in production. The incumbent will assist in implementing and managing QC and formulation aspects regarding production, ensuring the legal conformity of activities; and that product registrations are aligned with the Technical Manager with regard to the business strategy of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, organize and manage experiments regarding new and improved product formulations
- Execute product stability and product compatibility experiments
- Implementation and control of Quality Control Manual.
- Create the tank mixability lab and provide the database for our field team;
- Suggest any improvements on formulations, processes, and products or new research lines;
- Provide technical support for the launch of new products, new lines, processes, etc.;
- Assist with customer complaints/troubleshooting with technical expertise;
- Maintain regular and active product and company records, both in our country and in the countries administered directly by the Company
- Closely follow and advise on possible demands arising from Official Bodies inspections; whether in the company, in the distribution channels, or in rural properties, as well as from advertising materials;
- Be responsible for checking labels and product profiles of fertilizers, complying with local legislation, and marketing the product;
- Assist in compliance with inspections and requirements of fertilizers, supporting with the necessary information;
- Support customer, as well as internal Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental audits.
Key Performance Indicators
- Ensure technical quality of raw materials and final products;
- Guarantee deadline of registration reframes;
- Speed up regular registration deadline;
- Reach the budget for new product registration;
Guarantee delivery of Group requests;
- Guarantee delivery of Field Team Requests (mixability).
Required Education and Experience
- MSc Degree Chemistry
- Minimum of 1-2 years working/researching experience in the chemistry and/or agriculture industry;
- Proven experience in Laboratory / QC / Production (1 - 2 years);
- Knowledge of local legislation and legal procedures of Official Bodies;
- Good communication and leadership skills with the ability to work independently and within a group;
- Ability to work within local, regional, and global networks with a strong sense of accuracy and quality of work;
- Show technical support to field salespeople and develop a good rapport with the customer base;
- MS Office advanced skills (mainly PowerPoint and Excel);
- Drivers' license.
