Who we are
Career matters started in 2022 by Mary Bartens. A senior level
HR Professional with extensive experience across the HR value chain, with a deep focus
on and passion for Recruitment, Leadership Development, Performance and Talent Management.
Client base predominately Retail, Commercial and Supply Chain.
The primary focus of Career Matters is the placement of Candidates from Middle Management level to Board appointments as well as Coaching for performance and leadership development.
Recruitment
I recruit predominately for Retail, Supply Chain and Commercial.
I primarily use search ( headhunting ) to identify and recruit suitable candidates.
My approach is to form a strong relationship with the Client’s organization to understand their culture, future growth needs and problem areas. This helps me to become an extension of the Client’s organization and recruit the most suitable candidates.
I also conduct advertised recruitment with the full recruitment function, which includes drafting the advert, receiving responses, screening, interviewing and coordinating, references and extending offers. This process runs concurrently with a full search assignment.
I am also a networking partner with Selective Search and Recruitment (SSR) whose primary focus is within the Mining and Engineering Industry.
Coaching
My coaching model encompasses an Organizational Context of transformation through Personal Excellence. I believe in the true empowerment of my Clients through building authentic leadership , both on a professional and personal level, and grounded in self-awareness , confidence, creativity and their engagement is encouraged to motivate and empower others.
