About the position
The Business Liaison Officer (BLO) will be responsible for the development and implementation of marketing strategies (including print / digital/social media marketing) with a focus on campaigns aimed at acquiring new business, retaining existing clients, and creating relevant customer journeys:
- The BLO will be the custodian of the company's brand, coordinating the brand internally and externally; and
- Furthermore, he/she will be the central point of communication and information about the brand within the company.
To ensure the marketing strategy and execution align with the overall strategy;
- Conceptualising and managing marketing and communication campaigns through effective and tactical targeting and messaging initiatives;
- Planning and implementing campaigns that drive business growth and client retention;
- Executing engagement campaigns targeted at internal staff and clients;
- Creating and managing traffic to digital platforms (web consumers/clients, social) and call centre;
- Ensure website content is continuously updated;
- Continuous monitoring of campaign effectiveness, applying clearly defined return on investment (ROI) metrics;
- Optimising email marketing to meet set campaign objectives;
- Developing campaigns to drive consumer, client, and internal staff engagement;
- Executing aspects of launching a campaign including design, development, advertising, monitoring campaign effectiveness, and reporting on campaign success;
- Managing internal and external stakeholders from a business liaison perspective;
- Managing advertising and campaign spend effectively across paid platforms;
- Reporting effectively, in-depth, and accurately on campaign performance;
- Liaise with relevant marketing agencies in the production and delivery of communication material;
- Arranging and implementation of activations and expos, therefore will be expected, from time to time to work overtime, including weekends.
- Matric / Grade 12 (Essential)
- Relevant marketing qualification (Essential)
- Social Media and Content Marketing knowledge and experience(Essential)
- Minimum of 3 years brand marketing experience
- Proven Project Management ability
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle
- Youth Marketing experience/knowledge advantageous
- Community Management experience with knowledge of software
- Exposure/experience in the recycling/Logistics/Waste/Environmental services industry
