Bookkeeper/Accountant temp

About the position

Our client in Coega is looking for a bookkeeper / accountant temp with at least a diploma which would have covered fixed asset and inventory control, as this will be the main focus of the project for the temp person.

Job spec as follows:

Fixed assets:

• Physical verification of the fixed assets which will entail:
• Listing the contents of each office / business area with a description of the asset, asset tag number, and photographic evidence
• Identifying these assets on the fixed asset register
• Attaching new asset tags if these have fallen off once the asset has been verified
• Completing any documents required where necessary.

Inventory counts:

• Physical counts and reconciliations of inventory, entailing:
• Obtaining the detailed inventory reports
• Supervising the counts and checking for accuracy per warehouse and bin location
• Reconciling the physical count back to the inventory reports and General Ledger, identifying differences
• Preparing any documents that may be required.
