About the position
ASSOCIATE FINANCIAL ANALYST
A large Banking Institute has a vacancy for an Associate Financial Analyst.
The main purpose of this position is to process exchange control applications and monitor compliance with the Currency and Exchanges Manual for Authorised Dealers as well as the Exchange Control Regulations in order to regulate cross-border transactions and ensure efficient management of foreign exchange.

Post matric higher certificate (NQF 5) in the banking environment with Economics, Finance, Statistics, Business Economics, Banking or Accounting.
Five to eight years’ experience in the exchange control environment.
Analyse, process and finalise basic applications for approval, delivering work that meets the prescribed time and quality standards.
Assist in the planning of inspections and provide a written report on inspections findings for approval.
Assist in day-to-day administration, including record keeping, compilation of schedules and inspection profile, in support of operational efficiency within the division and own work
Capture data as well as provide management information for decision making purposes.
Perform work under limited supervision within established practices, processes, rules and regulations ensuring compliance with standards, policies and other guidelines in own area of expertise.
Engage with relevant internal stakeholders, displaying an ability to convey and explain information fluently.
Participate in ad hoc projects for compilation of information to inform policy decisions.
Proactively broaden knowledge of functional area and stay current with developments (e.g. changes to exchange control policies, rules and regulations) holding self and others accountable to adherence thereof.
