About the position

Job Title: Administrator: Stop Orders Management
Report Line: Assistant Manager: Stop Orders Management
Department: Premium Management

Job Type: 1x Permanent (LW051/2024)

Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of this role is to fulfill an administrative back-office support function within Premium Management whereby the Administrator handles all stop order, EasyPay and Payabill premium payment matters against Member policies.

You will be responsible for:

  • Accurately prepare and distribute billing files to employers for payment, with corresponding documents for lodgement where applicable.
  • Daily clearing of bank statement, allocation of Stop Order premiums to policies, perform reconciliations according to the standard operating procedure (SOP)
  • Ensure accurate processing of payments to policy, review source data - monitor and control any premium variances.
  • Daily telephonic interaction with employers for payment confirmation on all outstanding/incorrect amounts - commission, vat, etc.
  • Compile, processing of journals, refunds as and when applicable as per SOP.
  • Effectively resolving of daily debtor queries, originating internally and/or externally.
  • Achieve individual and department collection targets - outstanding debtors less than 30 days, allocation of premiums within 48hrs once relevant information is available.
  • Achieve a 100% Stop Order premium allocation rate, reduce Stop Order suspense transactions.
  • Compiling, analysing daily, weekly reports on arrears of risk to the business - compile age analysis on payments.
  • Maintain and minimize bad debts according to policy and procedures (SOP'S).
  • Ad-hoc tasks as per business needs - Fix Stop Order Lodgement and payment rejections.
  • Engage with other departments for query resolution.
  • Assisting with ad hoc tasks as and when required.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Completed Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year's Inbound Call Centre experience
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must speak English fluently
  • Ability to speak one other official Language advantageous

Skills and Competencies Required:

  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must speak English fluently.
  • Ability to speak one other official African language advantageous.
  • Must be able to work with and interpret basic financial information.
  • Will be required to interact with Members therefore customer services orientation essential.
  • Must have good verbal communication and listening skills.

Other Requirements:

  • Must relocate on own cost
  • ITC/criminal check will be a requirement
  • Applicable Psychometric assessment/s will be a requirement
