About the position

DUR001750 Artisan Electrician – Zululand (Mtubatuba)
Purpose of the job:
Maintenance Foreman – Electrical, will be responsible for the maintenance and repairing electrical equipment such as motors, control panels, switchgear and other allied electrical equipment.
Required Qualifications


  • N4 Certificate is Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Successfully completed an apprenticeship as an Electrician
  • Trade test certificate as an Artisan Electrician
  • In possession of a wireman’s license / Installation rules

Technical Competencies and responsibilities

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a heavy engineering environment
  • Experience in HT Reticulation, PLC (Siemens) and AC Drives
  • Experience in Planned Maintenance Systems
  • Good maintenance experience in AC motors
  • Construction work, such as installing cable racks, installing switchgear etc.
  • Correct wiring diagrams after making alterations to the circuit.
  • Synchronizing and disconnecting Powerhouse alternators
