About the position
DUR001750 Artisan Electrician – Zululand (Mtubatuba)
Purpose of the job:
Maintenance Foreman – Electrical, will be responsible for the maintenance and repairing electrical equipment such as motors, control panels, switchgear and other allied electrical equipment.
Required Qualifications
- N4 Certificate is Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Successfully completed an apprenticeship as an Electrician
- Trade test certificate as an Artisan Electrician
- In possession of a wireman’s license / Installation rules
Technical Competencies and responsibilities
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a heavy engineering environment
- Experience in HT Reticulation, PLC (Siemens) and AC Drives
- Experience in Planned Maintenance Systems
- Good maintenance experience in AC motors
- Construction work, such as installing cable racks, installing switchgear etc.
- Correct wiring diagrams after making alterations to the circuit.
- Synchronizing and disconnecting Powerhouse alternators
