About the position
Our client based in Cape Town, Granger Bay, is seeking a Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper, to join their team. This is an ideal opportunity to be part of a high-performance Finance/Operations team within a multi-disciplinary engineering consulting practice.
The primary function of this role is to provide an efficient and effective, accounting/bookkeeping and administrative support to the Finance team.
Requirements:
- Relevant 3 year Bachelors degree qualification in Financial Accounting (General Accounting).
- 3-5 years proven work experience in an accounting/ Bookkeeping role.
- Advanced level of competency in MS Excel software application.
- Intermediate level of competency in MS Office email and word applications.
- Exposure to Sage Pastel Partner Accounting software application would be an advantage.
- Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise important tasks.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a high-performance team.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail required.
