About the position

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking to hire a Cost Accountant based at the client at the Kempton Park office.
Key Performance Areas:

• Reporting on Food Standard Costing.
  
• Sales Analysis reporting on per revenue stream, per unit.
  
• Participate in the implementation of projects.
  
• Monthly reporting on food costs.
  

Performance Standard:

• Auditing recipe costings across the Company’s units ensuring updated.
  
• Daily reporting on actual versus theoretical food cost per unit across the Company.
  
• Ensure costs are allocated to the correct cost centers monthly.
  
• Reporting on the food input cost basket per revenue stream, per unit.
  
• Detailed reporting on per revenue stream, per unit.
  
• Participate in the implementation of reporting systems/tools to enhance and automate sales and cost reporting across all Catering units.
  
• Monthly reporting on food costs and comparison against theoretical margins supported with detailed commentary.
  
• Monthly reporting on sales mix per unit with detailed commentary.
  

RequirementsQualifications and Experience:

• Matric.
  
• 3- 5 years’ prior experience.
  
• CIMA or Bcomm Cost Accounting.
  
• Previous experience in hospitality or a catering environment would be beneficial.

• Strong planning and administration skills.

• Sound understanding of cost accounting and costings.
  
• Strong cost accounting knowledge.
  
• Travel from time to time required.
