Commercial Manager

About the position

Commercial Manager required for a reputable company based in East London 

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Finance / Business Management or related field
• FMCG Industry experience is essential both within retail and factory environment
• Must have 5 to 10 years’ experience in a senior management role
• Understanding of Supply Chain / Imports / Exports
• Understanding of HACCP and relevant certification
• Must have excellent financial and business acumen
• Strong analytical skills and strategic mindset
• Experience working with target metrics
• Strong attention to detail, time management, leadership and organizational skills
• Understanding of food manufacturing or production management processes would be advantageous

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to maximize revenue, profitability, market share and sustainable growth opportunities
• Create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities, including expansion, business development, and market research analysis
• Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics
• Set financial targets and budget development and monitoring
• Performance reporting and financial and budgeting processes
• Analyse trends and market conditions, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities
• Provide strategic advice to upper management
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, identifying new business opportunities, and overseeing the sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment with overall business objectives
• Coordinate commercial activities between various departments, including sales, marketing and customer service
