About the position
JOB TITLE: SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT PRACTITIONER: ASSET
DURATION: 6 MONTHS CONTRACT
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To receive, administrate, processing, verifying payments and reconciling invoices.
DESCRIPTION OF TASKS
- Receiving, Barcoding and Capturing of Assets to Asset Register and Distribution to Custodian.
- Receive all moveable assets.
- Perform quantity and quality control.
- Allocate inventory and bar code to the assets.
- Capture asset information s in the relevant registers.
- All moveable assets have been updated on assets register on time.
- All assets received are checked after received.
- All assets are barcoded as per DST Policy.
- All assets are accurately recorded on the assets register.
- Fleet Management Internal request for DSI vehicles.
- Renewal of license disc for state vehicle
- Branding of Vehicle.
- Arrangement of petrol cards
- Bookings for vehicle repairs and services
- Replacements of vehicle.
- DSI vehicles comply with prescribed departmental policy and producers and are road as per with The Road Traffic Management Act 20 of 1999/.
- RT3-2015 photocopying machines.
- Ensure adequate maintenance of the leased machines and ordering and issuing of toners.
- All leased machines are maintained as and when required.
- Verification - Performing Asset Verification.
- Performing Asset
- Disposal: disposing of Assets.
- All damaged, redundant and obsolete assets must be disposed as per Prescribed Policy.
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
- Matric certificate or equivalent.
- NQF 5 and above will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of public service rules and prescripts
- Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations and guidelines
- Knowledge of Asset Management processes and procedures
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Framework and Environment
- Tools and techniques for assets verification
- Standard chart of accounts
- Development skill
- Analytical skill

- Ability to work individually and as part of the team
- Ability to establish and maintain internal and external networks
- Ability to work under pressure
