Postion Summary:
The Senior Pipeline Engineer will provide subject matter expertise to the SKA-Mid Computing and Software Telescope Operations team in the analysis, development, operation and maintenance of the Mid telescope astronomy pipelines and other data analysis products such as the QA matrices. They’re responsible for the identification, research and analysis of the problem sets, investigation of potential solutions, implementation, testing and verification of such solutions.

Skills/Ability/CompetenciesEssential: • Strong quantitative research skills in a relevant or translatable area • A record of publication of scientific articles in an area of expertise, demonstrating ability to conduct research and collaboration with peers • Radio Astronomy data and science products analysis• Radio Interferometer telescopes scheduling, observation and calibration techniques• Radio astronomy data cleansing, calibration techniques and tools• Scientific software and pipelines development using Python and Python libraries, e.g. NumPy, SciPy.
