About the position

Listed Group, leader in the industry, requires candidate to have a national responsibility for the Growth of Sales and for improving profitability of the plants.

The successful candidate will be required to travel frequently throughout the region. The role will not have a permanent base, as the successful candidate will be required to travel between the factories, customers and clients in regions.

Key areas of responsibility for the role will include, but not be limited to:
Growth of sales.
Grow the current market share and share of wallet on the company' products.
Negotiate with all national accounts.
Improve volumes and revenues in accounts which the individual will be personally responsible for.
Frequent travel throughout the region.
Improve profitability for the factories by selling the correct mix of products

The ideal candidate will have the following typical traits:
Leader by nature
A self-starter with a "can do" attitude
Able to work within a high performance culture organisation
Able to work as an individual and within a team
Able to identify market trends and implement strategies to align the sales force and factory to the trends
Someone who can handle sales budget responsibilities of selling in excess of R250 million per annum
Have advanced analytical ability to analyse numbers

Desired qualifications and experience for this role:
Tertiary qualification in Sales and Marketing - highly advantageous!
Minimum of 5 years in a sales management role, with direct reports
Advanced working knowledge of MS Office suite and SAP
Previous/current working experience in developing and presenting budgets
Previous/current working experience in developing, implementing and measuring sales strategies in particular market segments
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment - highly desirable
