As an Environmental Compliance Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining full environmental compliance across our organization's departments. You'll support Project Developers in managing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) processes for new renewable energy projects, anticipate compliance with international standards, and assist in devising biodiversity offset strategies. Your responsibilities will also include developing and managing checklists for compliance, reviewing environmental reports, and ensuring assets are managed according to environmental conditions. In order to qualify for this opportunity, you'll need to hold a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science/Management, Geography or a related field, along with relevant SACNASP/EAPASA certification. With a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in environmental roles, including experience in compliance auditing and contractor management, you'll bring valuable expertise to the team. Experience in the renewable energy sector is advantageous, along with proficiency in NEMA, IFC Performance Standards, and Microsoft Office software.
