Payroll Specialist - Manufacturing

Umhlanga - Are you a payroll expert looking for a challenging role where precision and skill meet complexity? We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the entire payroll process, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time. This role includes maintaining payroll records, filing tax reports, preparing financial documents, and generating special reports for management. Our payroll operations are intricate, involving multiple shift patterns and requiring meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update payroll records with high accuracy.
• Manage all payroll activities, including month-end processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
• Handle payroll queries promptly and effectively.
• Prepare detailed payroll summaries and reports at month-end.
• Administer company remuneration benefits and oversee the management of time and attendance systems.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll department.

Requirements:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in finance or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing large-scale payrolls, preferably in a manufacturing environment with complex shift patterns.
• Expertise in SAGE300 & VIP Premier processing and reporting is essential.
• Profound knowledge of payroll legislation and shift permutations.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and ODBC reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
• Capable of working under pressure and managing deadlines effectively.

Remuneration:

• R25 000 - R35 000
