Investment Analyst/Associate

About the position

Our client, who invests in private debt and structures debt capital market transactions for mid-market South African companies, is seeking an A-player to assist with due diligence and post-transaction monitoring of private credit and debt capital markets transactions. Their clients are typically high-growth, working capital-hungry businesses looking for a value-adding finance partner. The Firm was founded in 2016, and their offices are in Cape Town. This will be a 1-year contract with the potential to convert into a permanent position.
The ideal candidate should have:

• Excellent financial modelling skills and the ability to analyse large data sets.
• The analytical rigour required to run a due diligence process.
• The ability to act as a trusted advisor to our client’s senior management teams.
• Entrepreneurial self-starter.
• Excellent communication skills.

Credentials:

• CA(SA) / CFA level II / Masters-level degree.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
• Ideally articles at a large Accounting Firm
• 1/2 years post articles
